Wayne Rodery

Wayne Rodery, 81, of Bernie, Mo., died Friday, May 28, 2004, at Malden Nursing Center in Malden, Mo.

Born March 21, 1923, in Clay County, Ark., he was a son of the late Joe and Ethel Mae George Rodery.

On Dec. 20, 1947, in St. Louis, he married Helen Marie Blevins who preceded him in death March 13, 1990.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Rodery and one grandson, Eric Lee Rodery.

Surviving are three sons, Darrell Rodery and Tim Rodery of Bernie, and Kenneth Rodery of Wappapello, Mo.; two daughters, Brenda Caplinger of Parma, Mo. and Karen Lynn Hunter of Rolla, Mo.; three brothers, Hillard Rodery of Cartersville, Ga., Laverne Rodery of Campbell, Mo., and Carlos Rodery of Brighton, Mich.; one sister, Anna Lee Michols of Piggott, Ark.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 1, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Wells officiating.

Burial, with full military honors, was in Bernie Cemetery.
