Louis D. "Boke" Frederick, 67, of LaPorte, Ind., died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at LaPorte Hospital.

Born Oct. 5, 1936, in Kennett, son of the late Jack and Myrtle Simms Frederick, he was employed at Alexander Chemical Corporation and at Allis Chalmers. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Kingsford Heights, American Legion 40/8.

Survivors include one son, Chris Frederick, of LaPorte; one step-son, Bo Nesbit, of LaPorte; one brother, Sam Frederick, of Calipatria, Calif.; one granddaughter, Michelle Johnson, of Kingsford Heights, Ind. and close friend, Lana Nesbit, of LaPorte.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Beck and Joyce Pippin.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 25, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at Haverstock Funeral Home in LaPorte.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the Haverstock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Tracy Cemetery in Hamlet, Ind.
