Mary Lou Rice, 73, of Kennett, died Saturday, May 22, 2004, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born June 22, 1930, in Octa, Mo., daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys Higgins Holligan, she was manager of Southwestern Bell Telephone and a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett.

On Feb. 3, 1951, she married Mack Rice, who survives.

Survivors also include three brothers, Bobby, of Kentucky, Danny, of Tennessee and Jimmy, of New Iberia, La.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 25, at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
