Delbert Cotton

Delbert Quinten Cotton, 57, of Risco, Mo., died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Born Aug. 29, 1946, in Gideon, Mo., he was the son of the late Albert Lee and Ruth May Shafer Cotton.

On Sept. 9, 1968, in St. Louis, Mo., he married Gloria Jean Martin, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Robert Cotton, of Cahokia, Ill. and Delbert "DJ" Cotton Jr., of Dupo, Ill.; two daughters, Donna Newell, of Cahokia and Bonnie Mathews, of Maryland Heights, Mo.; three brothers, Lee Ray Cotton, of Cahokia, William Cotton, of Columbia, Ill. and Ronnie Cotton, of Gideon and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Dewayne Cotton.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Friday, May 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Cobb officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
