Martha Frances Gerdel, 62, of Kennett, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at her residence.

Born Feb. 19, 1942, in Leachville, Ark., daughter of the late Willis Earl and Virginia Dell Gray Robertson, she was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Kennett.

On Sept. 10, 1960, in Kennett, she married Melvyn Gerdel, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Robert James Gerdel, of Chicago, Ill. and Jeffrey Scott Gerdel, of Kennett; one daughter, Melanie Kathleen Bishop and husband, Corey Anderson; three sisters, Kathleen Smith, of Kennett, Carolyn Fiss, of Chesterfield, Mo. and Cheryl Allison, of St. Ann, Mo.; two brothers, Kennith L. Robertson, of Catawissa, Mo. and Anthony "Tony" Robertson, of Kennett and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bishop and Justin Anderson, both of Kennett.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Ezra Robertson and Bonnie Sue Anthouis.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, May 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Spencer Furby officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers are Scott Tutor, John Mallott, Paul Spain, David Horton, Keith Riggs and John G. Fox.
