Charles Allen Allison, Sr., 59, of Cooter, Mo., died Monday, May 17, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Nov. 19, 1944, in Hermondale, Mo., son of A.L. and Dora Taylor Allison, he was an auto mechanic.
On April 21, 1964, in Blytheville, Ark., he married Linda Cecil, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Allen Allison and wife, Deanna, of Hornersville, Mo.; three daughters, Lisa McFarland and husband, Red and Denise Hill and husband, John, all of Steele, Mo. and Dina Tubbs and husband, Scotty, of Cooter; five brothers, Lester and Jessie Allison, both of Steele, Tony Allison, of Holland, Mo., Chuck Allison, of Arlington, Tenn. and Kenny Allison, of Fenton, Mo.; five sisters, Ruth Carlton and Glenda Winter, both of Steele , Tilda Wiseman, of Marquand, Mo., Etta Gray, of Fort Meade, Fla. and Dora Hays, of Memphis, Tenn. and seven grandchildren, Bryan Hill, Samuel and Kayla McFarland, Alisha McCaig and Kaylee and Cassie Tubbs.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Franklin Allen McArthur, Jr. and two sisters, Mildred Southern and Mary Lou Scott.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 19, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter with the Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
