Oscar Long, 63, died Friday, May 7. 2004, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Dec. 25, 1940, in Wardell, Mo., son of the late Steve and Elizabeth Baker Long, he was employed by the Little River Drainage District.

Survivors include four brothers, Robert Long, of Hayti, Mo., Steve Long, of Gideon, Mo., Lucky Long, of St. Louis, Mo. and Donald Long, of Wardell and one sister Mary Wade, of Sikeston, Mo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Wayne Long and Ernest Long.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel in Portageville, Mo. with the Rev. Mark Inman officiating.

Burial was in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chris Clifton, Brandon Phillips, Danny Young and Wayne Warner.
