Hayward Berry

Hayward Donald Berry, 78, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born March 31, 1926, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late David Walter and Belle Caravatt Berry, he attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Gideon.

On July 10, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., he married Pauline Elizabeth Hill.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Mashburn and husband, Max, of Wood River, Ill. and Glenda Jordan and husband, Donald and Donna Randen and husband, Ronald, all of Gideon; two sons, Donald Berry, of St. Louis, Mo. and Jeffery Berry, of Gideon; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Ralph and Howard Berry and four sisters, Pauline Cowell, Eteau Johnson, Alma Beline and Alpha Womack.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, May 13, at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo. with Charles Hill officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Gideon was in charge of arrangements.
