Gene Curtis

Gene Curtis, 71, of Lincoln, Neb., died Sunday, May 10, 2004.

Born July 30, 1932, in Braggadocio, Mo., son of the late Austin and Edith Hatley Curtis, he was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, a realtor and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Lincoln.

Survivors include his wife, Marge Curtis, of Lincoln; two sons, David J. Curtis and wife, Jeanine, of Englewood, Colo. and Stephen A. Curtis and wife, Linda, of Indian Trail, N.C. and three grandsons, Matthew Gene Curtis, of Englewood and Benjamin Austin and Wilson Taylor Curtis, both of Indian Trail.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Ried and Thomas Lynn Curtis.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln. There will also be a visitation at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at the Southview Baptist Church in Lincoln with Pastor Dan Cate officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 1125 West A Street, Lincoln, NE. 68522.
