Katie Loyd, 95, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Arbyrd, Mo., died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Born Aug. 30, 1908, in Hollywood, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Lemual and Melissa Kinchen Brannum.

On July 3, 1926, in Piggott, Ark., she married Herman Loyd, who preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1996. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Warlick Brannum.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Wayne Loyd, of Irvin, Texas and Jack Loyd, of Arbyrd, Mo.; two daughters, Betty Crow, of Paducah and Norma Gray, of Louden, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today, May 11, at the Cardwell Cemetery in Cardwell, Mo. with Alvin Leach officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath, Mo. was in charge of arrangements.
