Clyde Williams

Clyde E. Williams, 78, of Olive Branch, Miss., formerly of Campbell, Mo. died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at his residence.

Born Oct. 22, 1925, in Collierville, Tenn., son of the late Jack and Nina Vick Williams, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII, retired from Union Planters Bank in Memphis, Tenn., Central Bank of Alabama and 1st Community Bank of Missouri and a charter member of the Oakhaven United Methodist Church in Memphis. He was a member of the Rotary Club, the Campbell United Methodist Church in Campbell, Mo. and former president of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.

On April 19, 1952, in Como, Miss., he married Marjorie Ann Haskins, who survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Carol Allen, of Olive Branch and Lynda Brewer, of Germantown, Tenn.; one son, Bryan Williams, of Olive Branch; one brother, Richard Williams, of Harrison, Ark.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Hal Jack Williams.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 11, at the Byhalia Cemetery in Byhalia, Miss.

Brantley Funeral home of Olive Branch was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Heritage Hospice, 6810 Crumpler, Suite 101, Olive Branch, Miss. 38654 and the United Methodist Church, 418 N. Main St., Campbell, Mo. 63933.
