Harriett Maxwell Ewing, 71, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, April 30, 2004, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

Born June 21, 1932, in Kennett, son of Cary Pankey Williams and the late Maxwell Williams, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Malden, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, University of Missouri and PEO in Grant City, Mo.

Survivors include three sons, David Overton Ewing, of St. Charles, Mo., John Brent Ewing, of Kansas City, Mo. and Alexander Dorr Ewing, of St. Louis, Mo.; his mother, Cary Williams, of Gideon, Mo. and one grandson, Dylan Christopher Ewing, of St. Charles.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Cary Ewing and one brother, Hugh Pankey Williams.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 3, at the Elder Cemetery in Campbell, Mo. with the Rev. Virgial Harp officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
