Serina Sue Martin, 62, of Lexington, Tenn., died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.
Born Feb. 7, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of the late Aline Ingles, she was a former employee of Brown Shoe Company and was employed at Johnson Control Manufacturing Company in Lexington. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville, Mo.
On Dec. 31, 1983, in Caruthersville, she married Michael Martin, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Forest Putman, of Caruthersville; three daughters, Vicki Hames and Wendy Woods, both of Caruthersville and Terri Dudley, of Lexington; one brother, Raymond Payne, of Malden, Mo.; one sister, Jane Eggelston, of St. Louis, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Clarence Woods, Jr., Johnny B. Johnson, Cecil Johnson, Michael Watkins, Jerry Johnson and Steve Williams.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
