Marvelene McElyea

Marvelene McElyea, 88, of Bay St. Louis, Miss., formerly of Kennett, died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital, Gulfport, Miss.

Born May 10, 1915, in Kennett, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Letha Jackson Blazier.

She married Melvin McElyea who preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Letha Walls and husband, William, of Pass Christian, Miss.; two sisters, Bessie Ford and Magdaline Blazier of Kennett; two grandchildren, Nancee Lallie of Ocean Springs, Miss. and Alan Walls of Paragould, Miss.; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Pigage of Biloxi, Miss., Craig, Christine and Ashley Walls of Paragould, Ark., and two great-great-grandchildren, Blake Alan Pigage of Biloxi and Christian Wade Wall of Paragould.

Graveside services were 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at Lulu Cemetery near Senath, Mo. with the Rev. Bill Fox officiating.

Pallbearers were Paul Stout, Alan Walls, Louis Lalli, Bill Walls and Kenneth Ford.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
