Roy Don Carver, 51, of Buchanan, Tenn., formerly of Bragg City, Mo., died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Born Sept. 4, 1952, in Bragg City, Mo., son of Pauline Cain Carver and the late W.F. Carver, he was in the National Guard and a riverboat pilot. He was a member of the Hayti Masonic Lodge and a member of the Russwood Baptist Church.
On Feb. 13, 1971, he married Brenda Hargrove, who survives.
Survivors also include his mother, Pauline Carver, of Kennett; three sons, Klynt Carver, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Chad Carver, of Knoxville, Tenn. and Nick Carver, of Buchanan; five brothers, Dan Carver, of Channahon, Ill., Jack Carver, of Wood River, Ill. and Max, Jon and Ray Van Carver, all of Bragg City and three sisters, Rebecca Harris, of Senath, Mo., Janie Meredith, of Hazelwood, Mo. and Martha Crafton, of Kennett.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Pemiscot County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo. with the Rev. Kenneth Basham officiating.
