Berley Beck, 78, of Kennett, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Jan. 23, 1926, in Kennett, a son of the late Earl and Azalea Winters Beck, served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett.
On March 5, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Letha Walker who survives.
Other survivors include one son, Berley Kent Beck and wife, June, of Kennett; one daughter, Regina Slatton and husband, Don, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and three grandchildren, Hunter and Jordan Slatton and Aaron Beck.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Earl Beck.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers were Charles Parker, David Smith, Frank Stuart, Chester Folkes, Max Averett and Dennis Smithson.
Honorary pallbearers are Elders of Slicer Street Church of Christ and Johnny Chapin, Tite Williams, Luke Carter, Otto Bean, Rayburn Ross and Gerald Robertson.
