Lovie Mitchell, 93, of Hayti, Mo., died Sunday, April 11, 2004, in Memphis, Tenn.

Born on Feb. 21, 1911, in Obion Co., Tenn., a daughter of the late Mac and Janie McCollum, she was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.

She was married to John Wesley Mitchell Sr., who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, John Wesley Mitchell Jr., and wife, Shirley, of Humbolt, Tenn., Jimmy Mitchell and Peggy Riley, both of Hayti; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, April 13, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Rev. Rob Titus officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.

Pallbearers were Ron Griffin, Kelley Thomas, Lewis Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, Brandon Moore and Christopher Moore.
