Aleen Sissom, 77, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at the St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Born on August 12, 1925, in Senath, a daughter of the late Ira Lee and Zetta Warren McNew.
On March 14, 1977, in Cardwell, Mo., she married J.T. James Thomas Sissom, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Christian and husband, John, of Hardy, Ark., and Regina Robertson, and husband, Paul, of West Memphis, Ark.; three step daughters, Janice Brizendine and husband, Ronald, of Jefferson City, Lana Carol Sissom of Benton, Ill., and Sue Ann Tifria of Shorewood, Ill.; two step sons, James Sissom of Montogmery, Ill., and John Waye Sissom, and wife, Joanie, of Jefferson City; one sister, Dorothy Lee Gage of Wappapello, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill McNew.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, April 14, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Moore, Clint Gattis, Ronald McNew, Ron Brizendine, Matthew Brizendine and David Moore.
