Verlin George Luna, 67, of Holcomb, Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died April 11, 2004.
He was born on June 28, 1936 to the late George Sheridan and Alma Euline Luna.
He was married to Mary Bobette Stacey on June 3, 1960.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Bobette, and four children, Verlin Jr., and wife, Esther, of Poplar Bluff, Verlene Miklich and husband, Chuck, of Wooster, Ohio, Angie Spencer and husband, Darryl, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Sheri Holland of Jefferson City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Brett Luna, Jason Montgomery and wife, Kristen, K.R. Montgomery, Alan, Rachel and Cory Spencer, Mary Catherine (Cathy) and Ashley Holland and their father Tim Holland and two sisters, Faye Hall of Holcomb and Delores Baker of Seymour, Mo.
Verlin retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Communications Division in 1993 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Sumach Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, April 13, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Brother Ernest Puckett and Brother Bill Fox will lead the funeral services on Wednesday, April 14, at 11 a.m., at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Burial services will follow at Memorial Gardens in Kennett.
Memorial may be made to Sumach Methodist Church in Holcomb.
