Marvin Joseph Stratman, 73, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, April 5, 2004 at Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born on Sept. 8, 1930 in St. Louis, Mo., a son of the late Joseph Charles and Cecillia Mary Knopple Stratman, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Glennonville and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Malden. He was retired employee of the John Deere Implement Co., as a service manager for Malden, Dexter, Blytheville and Poplar Bluff.

On Dec. 25, 1950 he married Mary Ann Wagster, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include five sons, Stephen Stratman of Port Wentworth, Ga., Scott Stratman of Malden, Shon Stratman of Sikeston, Mo., Spencer Stratman of Kelso, Mo., and Slade Stratman of South Haven, Miss.; one sister, Dorothy Schulte of St. Louis, Mo; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Elaine Stratman and one granddaughter, Brandy Stratman.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., today, Wed., April 7, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, April 8, at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Glenn Eftink officiating.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with military rites.
