William Hippler

William Edward "Bill" Hippler, 59, of Caruthersville, Mo., died March 31, 2004, in Robinsville, Miss.

Born June 11, 1944, in Tiffen, Ohio, a son of the late Hiram I. and Florence Manetta Luidhardt Hippler, he was a graduate of Northrup Institute of Technology in Inglewood, Calif. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and was employed more than 31 years by Mid-Continent Aircraft. He was a member of Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church.

On June 16, 1968, in Caruthersville, he married Carrie Ann Shaeffer, who survived.

Other survivors include one son, Christopher W. Hippler and wife, Terri, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; one daughter, Heather E. Pullam and husband, Denny, of Caruthersville; one brother, Clarence Hippler of Bellevue, Ohio; one sister, Lucille Weaver, Homosassa, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Kyler Hippler, Cody Wright, Kaitlyn Pullam and Sara Hippler.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Eugene Hippler.

Memorial services were 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.

Services were directed by H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville.
