Lottie Mae Jones, 87, of Caruthersville, Mo., died March 27, 2004, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born June 14, 1916, in Parma, Mo., a daughter of the late Albert and Ada Belle Byous Blankenship she attended school in Wardell, Mo., and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Caruthersville.
On July 15, 1933, in Caruthersville, she married Elvis Carroll "Skeet" Jones who preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1982. She was also preceded in death by one son, Alan; two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include seven daughters, Anita Malone of Caruthersville, Carolyn Moody and Wanda Brantley of Cape Girardeau, Mary Hicks, Linda Davis and Janet Jones of Columbus, Ohio and Debbie Hood of Hayti; three sons, Elvis Jones of Lillian, Ala., John Jones of Iuka, Miss. and James Jones of Memphis, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, at H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with Dr. James Adams officiating.
Burial was in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville.
