Ruth Loraine Lowry, 93, of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, April 3, 2004 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.
Born on December 7, 1910 in Paragould, Ark., a daughter of the late John K. and Martha Lenore Howell Eubanks, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennett. She served on the Dunklin County Selective Service Board for 30 years retiring in 1974, secretary of the Delta Fair Board, former member of the Business and Professional Womens Club, also of the Kennett Country Club. She also served as a secretary of her Sunday School Dept., and worked in Vaction Bible School.
She was married to Henry D. Droke, who preceded her in death. She then married Bertran D. Lowry, who preceded her in death on April 24, 1972.
Survivors include, one niece, Sonya Heater and her husband, Dan, of Paragould, Ark.; one nephew, Mike Eubanks and his wife, Sylvia, of Paragould; two great nephews Colin Hester and Timothy Eubanks; one brother, James Eubanks and his wife, Vera, of Paragould; one sister, Lottie K. Armstrong, of Paragould and other relatives including the Hart family and the Kappelman family.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Albert Eubanks; one sister, Golda Merriam Eubanks and five half sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, April 6, at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
McDaniel Funeral Home was in charge of services.
