Ralph New

Ralph New, 84, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Ridgeview Nursing Center in Malden.

Born July 10, 1919, in Myrtle, Miss., a son of Moses and Ruby Hood New, he was a farmer and a member of New Prospect Southern Baptist Church.

On May 20, 1940, he married Regenia Wayne Meacham who survives.

Other survivors include one son, William Darryl New of Malden; three daughters, Kathleen Clapsaddle of Springfield, Mo., Brenda Busboom of Buckeye, Ariz., and Jennifer Stratman of Sikeston, Mo.; one brother, Noel New of Campbell; one sister, Doris Causey of Malden; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna New; two sisters, Willie Murie Elder and Earlene Masters and one brother, Ray New.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 6, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Paul Starnes officiating.

Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
