Archie Batchelor

Archie Batchelor, Jr., 84, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Malden Nursing and Rehab.

Born March 21,1920, in Clarkton, Mo., son of the late Archie, Sr., and Maude Forbes Barchelor, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.

On April 5, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Jewell Nadine Thomason, who survives.

Survivors also include three daughters, Judith Ann Garner and husband, David, of Dexter, Mo. and Bonnie Lynn Batchelor and Susan Fanney and husband, Chris, all of Malden.; three brothers, Artell Batchelor, of Fairdealing, Mo. and Bob Batchelor and wife, Wilma and Bill Batchelor and wife, Dana, all of Malden; two sisters, Daphna Allen and Dortha Davis, both of Malden; one grandson, Matthew Garner, of Dexter and one great-grandchild, Carlee Garner, of Dexter.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Carrie Batchelor and two brothers, Raymond and Buford Batchelor.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.
