Peggy Lou Ross, 65, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
Born July 15, 1938, in Cottonwood Point, Mo., daughter of the late Carl and Estelle Chamberlain Howell, she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Caruthersville.
In 1966, she married Lewis Charles Ross, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Myra Hudgens and one brother, Johnny William Howell.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Kendall, of Cassopolis, Mich. and Lisa McIntyre, of Warner Robins, Ga.; three sisters, Nora Retkovis, of Paulsboro, N.J., Betty Brown, of Steele, Mo. and Estelle Whitley, of Kennett; three brothers, Carl Howell, of California, Charles Howell, of Caruthersville and Alton Howell, of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, at the First Asembly of God Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Bob Titus officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
Pallbearers were Rocky Kendall, Doug McKillip, Tommy Halford, Joe Nelson, Robert Guest and Stephen Ayers.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
