Nellie Hamra, 99, of Kennett, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Jan. 26, 1905, in Blissfield, Mich., daughter of the late Nicholas and Rogena Kerbaway Hodge, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
On Jan. 18, 1925, she married Richard A. Hamra, who preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 1980. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ferris and Edward Hodge and two sisters, Helen LaNew and Mary Adam.
Survivors include two sons, Albert Hamra, of Chesterfield, Mo. and Donald Hamra, of Malden, Mo.; one brother, Abraham Hodge, of Glendale, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Richard, Nicholas, Susan, Jeanne and Olivia Hamra and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 30, at the First United Methodist Church in Kennett with the Rev. Paul Lanning and Richard Hamra officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
