Barbara Ellen Laws Riggs Bishop, 64, of Rector, Ark., died Monday, March 22, 2004, at her residence.
Born Feb. 15, 1940, in Rector, daughter of the late Raleigh and Mabel Cowgill Laws, she was a member of the Boydsville Church of Christ.
On Aug. 14, 1970, she married Bill Bishop, who survives.
Survivors also include five sons, Clinton Riggs and Brian Bishop and wife, Amy, all of Aurora, Ill., Paul Riggs, of Oswego, Ill., Mark Bishop and wife, Tammy, of North Port, Fla. and Phillip Ray Bishop, of Belleville, Ill.; two daughters, Ellen Riggs Alfter and husband, Troy, of Montgomery, Ill. and Evanell Allen and husband, Terry, of Piggott, Ark.; three brothers, Rayburn Laws, of Clarkton, Mo., Doyle Laws, of Senath, Mo. and Roger Laws, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; five sisters, Dorothy Brown, of Greenway, Ark., Loretta Furlow, Martha Kay Wright and Mary Samples, all of Kennett and Karen Pemberton, of Clarkton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Paul Anthony Riggs, Jason Bulger, Aubrey, Nathaniel and Morgan Alfter, Gracie Ellen Kay Bishop, Larry and Jean Cloninger and Terrica Allen and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preeceded in death by one son, Jackie Lee Bishop and one brother, Jerry Laws.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, March 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Bradshaw officiating.
Burial was in the Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway.
Pallbearers were Clint, Paul and Paul Anthony Riggs, Brian and Mark Bishop and Jason Bulger.
