Edwin Jesse "Ed" Huffman, 90, of Hayti, Mo., died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at his residence.
Born March 6, 1914, in Braggadocio, Mo., son of the late Michael and Rhoda Phillips Huffman, he was a farmer, bus driver and a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.
On Nov. 26, 1937, he married Leo Brewer, who preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 1991. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Ed and Ray Huffman.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Bomar, of Memphis, Tenn., Linda Curbo, of Olive Branch, Miss. and Darla Patterson, of Hornersville, Mo.; one son, David Huffman, of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Eva Cooper, of Braggadocio and Betsy Greenway, of Annapolis, Md.; six grandchildren, Rachel and Mark Bomar, Tony Curbo and Jeffrey, Jay and Traci Patterson and one great-grandson, Brett Curbo.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at the Braggadocio Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Ault officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo.
Pallbearers were Joe Brooks, Noel Dudley, Joe Crain, Mike Greenway and Ron Young.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
