Kenneth "Kenny" Midkiff, 84, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, March 19, 2004, in Hayti.
Born June 16, 1919, in Patterson, Mo., son of the late Earl and Aminta Westmorland Midkiff, he was a U.S. veteran, having served in WWII. He worked for Eagle Ottawa Leather Company in Grand Haven, Mich.
On June 21, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., he married Mary June Donaldson, who survives.
Survivors also include five children, Mary Elizabeth Bouwman and husband, Dick, of Muskegon, Mich., Kenny Wayne Midkiff and wife, Kim, of Madison, Fla., Jerry Lee Midkiff and wife, Pat, of Delton, Mich., Roger Midkiff and wife, Betsy, of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Kim Lynn Dye and husband, Dewayne, of Kennett; one brother, Roy Midkiff, of California; one sister, Lois Koonse, of Arizona and six grandchildren, Bobby Kolanko, of Grand Haven, April Webb, of North Muskegon, Jesica White, of New Hope, Minn., Matthew Midkiff, of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Kenny Wade and Dalton Richard Dye, both of Kennett.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd, Clinton and Marvin Midkiff and three sisters, Evelyn Midkiff, Naomi Bailey and Lorene Estes.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Bobby Kolanko, Matthew, Glen and Jerry Midkiff, Wayne and Dalton Dye, Dick Bouwman and Roger McMahon.
