Winford E. Eskew, 75, of Swartz Creek, MI., died Friday, March 12, 2004 at Genesys Health Park in Swartz Creek.
Born Nov. 13, 1928, in Holcomb, Mo., son of the late Daniel Fleming and Lilly Bronson Eskew, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the U.A.W. Local 659 and was retired from General Motors V-8.
On April 10, 1955, in Hernando, Mo., he married Wanda L. Pritchett, who preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 1992. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Spears; four brothers, Junior, Bill, Millard and L.D. Eskew and an infant daughter.
Survivors include three sons, Keith Eskew and wife, Norma, of Swartz Creek, Dennis Eskew and wife, Brenda, and Benjamin "Bud" Eskew and wife, Connie, all of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Faye Eskew and wife, Carol, of Derby, Kan.; one sister, Irene Dowdy and husband, Jewel, of West Plains, Mo.; seven grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Ruby Eskew of Puxico, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, March 16, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell, Mo.
Burial was in the Piggott Cemetery at Piggott, Ark.
