Dorothy Coppage Long, 84, of Braggadocio, Mo., died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at her residence.
Born Oct. 23, 1919, in Braggadocio, daughter of the late Earl McCall and Dorothy Collins Coppage, she was a homemaker, a farmer and a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.
On Nov. 28, 1938, in Hernando, Miss., she married Frank Leslie Long, Jr., who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1969. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Dorothy Jo and Joe Frank Johnson and two brothers, Earl M. and Joe Bob Coppage.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Long Johnson, of Germantown, Tenn. and Frankye Sue Long Mehrle, of Columbia, Mo.; four grandchildren, Anna Lisa Johnson Robertson and Earl Frank Johnson, both of Memphis, Tenn., Fran Mehrle-Brown, of Columbia and Betsy Mehrle Mann, of Newtown, Pa. and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthrsville, Mo. with the Rev. Dr. Paul Currie officiating.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville wsa in charge of arrangements.
