Dixie Russ, 57, of Deering, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 4, 1946, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Roland Russ and Myrtice Wright.
Survivors include two sisters, Merry Elder and husband, Lenard, of Deering, Mo. and JoAnn Dinkel and husband, Terry, of Exeter, Calif.; three nieces, Carolyn Owen and husband, Dennis, of Fenton, Mo., Marilyn Cross and husband, Brad, of McLeansboro, Ill. and Michelle Ryan and husband, Greg, of Lake Forrest, Calif.; two nephews, Len Elder and Linda Williams, of Kennett and Keith DePreist and wife, Marilyn, of Hesperia, Calif.; a special brother-in-law, Eugene DePreist and wife, Sharon, of Yarba Linda, Calif.; one great-niece, Cara Owen, of Fenton and four great-nephews, Cory Owen, of Fenton and Allen, Alex and Chad Ryan, of Lake Forrest.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Boyd officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were John Calhoun, Douglas James, Carl Miller, Tom Lebo, Jack Callis and Larry Hogan.
