Ollie B. Vance, 86, of Kennett, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Cape Girardeau, Mo
Born Feb. 7, 1918, in Arbyrd, Mo., daughter of the late Lee and Pearl Roark Layne, she was a member of the Third Street Baptist Church in Kennett.
On July 2, 1938, in Arbyrd, she married C.B. Vance, who preceded her in death on May 12, 1990. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Lute Layne and five sisters, Anne Boyd, Ina Buck, Maggie Thomas Smith, Margie Layne and Hettie Berrman.
Survivors include one son, Garry Vance and wife, Ruby, of Flint, Mich.; one daughter, Pam Bryant and husband, Roger, of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, March 9, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Bud Evans officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
