William Vernon Brewer, 77, of Clarkton, Mo., died Friday, March 5, 2004, at his home.
Born July 4, 1926, at Lilbourn, Mo., son of the late Delbert and Martha Petty Brewer, he served with the U.S. Army during World War II. A retired carpenter, he was a member of First Baptist Church at Clarkton and the VFW at Parma, Mo..
On Dec. 12, 1964, at St. Louis, he married Willine Nunn who survives.
Other survivors include two sons Harold Wayne Brewer of Moline, Ill. and Robert Brewer of Campbell, Mo.; two daughters, Ruth Denise Brewer of Dexter and Kelly Brewer of Malden, Mo.; two step-daughters Lisa Robbins of Marston, Mo. and Sharon Ward of St. Louis; one sister, Mary Prater of St. Louis; 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Brewer; one sister, Vernice Vaninger; three brothers, Fred Brewer, Roy Brewer, and Trenton Brewer; and one half-brother, Lawrence Tackett.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. Monday, March 8, at Bradshaw Funeral Home at Malden.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at the Bradshaw Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Pipkins officiating.
Burial, with full military rites, will be in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
