Wilma Jean Sellers, 47, of Troy, Mo., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Silex Community Care Center.
Born July 13, 1956, in New Orleans, La., daughter of the late Carl and Dorothy Brasnell Sellers, she owned a tanning salon. She assisted in the advancement of Genetic Research with her tissue donation upon death.
Survivors include one daughter, Jenifer Redman, of Camden, Mo.; one son, Eugene "Gene" Redman, of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; special friend, Rick Plume, of Troy; two sisters, Charlette Boland, of O'Fallon, Mo. and Teresa Vollmeer, of Foristell, Mo.; three brothers, Carl "Mike" Sellers, of Foristell, James "Jim" Sellers, of Pendleton, Mo. and Danny Sellers, of Troy; children's father, Steve Redman, of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Hayti with the Rev. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Portageville Cemetery at Portageville, Mo.
Pallbearers were James Braswell, Josh Boland, Brad Boland, Shawn Stright, Sam Rittenbury and Louis Boman.
The family requests that any donation be made to the family or the fuenral home to help with expenses.
