Jim Lewis, 63, of Holcomb, Mo., died Tueday, March 2, 2004, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born June 27, 1940, in Campbell, Mo., son of Margaret Batchelor Lewis and the late Lawrence Thomas Lewis, he was U.S. Army National Guard veteran, having served during the Vietnam era, a truck driver instructor for ABF and he worked for Pepsi Cola. He was a member of the Farmers and Merchants Club in Holcomb and a member of the Varner River Baptist Church in Kennett.
On Feb. 17, 1961, in Holcomb, he married Glenda Jean Campbell, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, James Lawrence Lewis, Jr. and wife, Annette, of Marmaduke, Ark.; two daughters, LaDonna Jean Buchanan and husband, Keenan, of Gideon, Mo. and Sheila Ranas Fisher and husband, David, of Holcomb; his mother, Margaret Lewis, of Kennett; three sisters, Rosemary Fuller and husband, Charles, of Kennett, Pat Todd and husband, Tom, of Holcomb and Gayla Myers and husband, Toni, of St. Louis, Mo. and eight grandchildren, Aleshia, Caitlin, Hannah and Erica Lewis, Blake, Drew and Brett Buchanan and Heaven.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Lewis.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, March 4, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dale Rickman and Lonny Mittag officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
