Christine Vance

Christine Smith Vance, 89, of Maryland Heights, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004.

Born Aug. 22, 1914, in Richwoods, Ark., daughter of the late Noah and Zora Smith, she taught at Kennett Junior High School prior to her retirement.

She married Allison H. Vance, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathryn Brawner and Ella Tharp; two sons, Allison H. Vance, Jr. and Murry A. Vance; one sister, Billie Howland and five grandchildren.

Burial will take place Saturday, March 6, at the Richwoods Cemetery in Arkadelphia, Ark.
