Odessa Cunningham, 72, of Kennett, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Saturday, Aug. 29, 1931, at Gobler, Mo., she was daughter of the late John and Mary Elizabeth Cox Love. She graduated from Washington High School in Caruthersville, Mo., and a member of True Believers Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She worked in the medical field and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Wardell, Mo.
She married Lois Cunningham of Kennett, from whom she was divorced.
Survivors include five sons, Mance Cunningham, Willie Cunningham, Joseph Cunningham, Donald Ray Cunningham and Gerald W. Cunningham and wife, Karen, of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Eria Grays and husband, Mon, of Kennett; two sisters, Velma Austin of Cape Girardeau and Alberta Thompson of Kennett; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Johnny Williams officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers were Charles Jones, David Walter, Gary Martin, Jim Breedon and Charles McCracken.
Honorary pallbearers were Deon Raymond, Michael Willis, Brian Campbell, Eric Grays, Isaac Cunningham and Willie Cunningham, Jr.
