Elizabeth Louise Newman "Boo Boo" Turner, 43, of Steele, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Nov. 22, 1960, in Hayti, Mo., daughter of Louise Evans Newman and the late Robert Bertrand Newman, she was a L.P.N., a member of the National League of Nursing and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include two children, David Allen Turner, of Murray, Ky. and McKenzie Abbygail Hayes, of Steele; her mother, Louise Newman, of Hayti; her fiance, Jerry Martin, of Steele; four sisters, Rose Marie Pelts and husband, Dickie, of Steele, Mona Yow and husband, Kenny, of Puxico, Mo., Cathy Turner and husband, David, of Hayti and Stephanie Newman, of Antioch, Tenn. and two brothers, Alan Newman and Robert Newman and wife, Teresa, all of Hayti.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caruthersville, Mo. with Father Joe Campbell officiating.
Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Trey Pelts, Joseph Davidson, Bert McCulloch, Nathan Brooks, Dewayne Shelly and Jeff Baldwin.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
