Louis "L.V." Elliott, 89, of Hermitage, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Mo.
Born June 21, 1914, in Vilonia, Ark., son of the late Guy Homer and Mattie Louella Goode Elliott, he was former manager of Kennett Lumber Company.
On Sept. 15, 1936, he married Harriet Elizabeth Duke, who survives.
Survivors also include four daughters, Edith Codean Howell, of Hermitage, Audrey Deanna Terry, of Kennett, Ella Jean Masterson, of Waterford, Calif. and Mary Jo Elliott, of San Anselmo, Calif.; five brothers, Fred Elliott, of Hemphill, Texas, Eugene and Roger Elliott, both of Searcy, Ark., Lloyd Elliott, of Delta, Ohio and J.T. Elliott, of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Nellie Mae Palmer, of West Memphis, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Robert and Richard Bilbrey, Richard, Adam and Tim Bryngelson, Perry Howell, Tom Masterson and Fred Elliott.
Honorary pallbearers were D.W. Wilson, Edwin Branch, Tommy Branum, Virgil McElyea, Buel "Bill" White, Calvin Holt and Glen Helton.
