Althea May Malin, 93, of Campbell, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Born May 11. 1910, in Campbell, daughter of the late Arthur Effie and Ella Jane Dalton McElyea, she was a teacher in the Campbell area and a member of the Whiteaker Chapel Church in Campbell. She was a member of the Bootheel Retired Teachers Association, where she served as both president and secretary, president of the Campbell Nutrition Center Board and member and president of the Hopkins Homemakers Club.
On July 12, 1931, in Piggott, she married Herbert Truman Malin, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Gerald Ray Malin and wife, Aletha, of Campbell; one grandson, Gerald Ray Malin, Jr., of Campbell and two great-grandchildren, Amber and Zachary Malin, both of Campbell.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Lora Lewis and three brothers, Glenn, Charles and Eugene McElyea.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition at Campbell.
