Mary Louise Lamb, 89, of Steele, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Feb. 13, 1915 in Steele, daughter of the late Edmon Barley and Lessie Brown Lipscomb, she had been employed with Hayti Hopsital, Blytheville Hospital and River Oaks Care Center and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Steele.
On Oct. 30, 1929, in Cooter, Mo., she married Horace C. Lamb, who preceded her in death on January 16,1989. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert C. and Carlos E. Lamb; one brother, J.C. Lipscomb and two sisters, Geyula Caviness and Catherine Miller.
Survivors include, three daughters, Jo Alice Knisley, of Fallbrooke, Calif., Barbara Dorris, of Steele, and Mary Nell Cordey, of Glenmora, La.; two daugther-in-laws, Mary Lamb, of New Mexico, and Shirley Lamb, of Ironton, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Mousie officiating.
Burial will Follow the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
