Annie B. Frankum, 77, of Hayti, Mo., died Wedneaday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born June 4, 1926, in Halls, Tenn., daughter of the late Pearl Climber and Larson Ralph Abernathy, she was a tax collector for the city of Hayti and a cashier for Ark-Mo Power Company. She was a member of the Hayti BP&W Club, Kelley Electric Bowling Team and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hayti.
On Jan. 28, 1946, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Albert Daniel Frankum, who preceded her in death on July 25, 1985.
Survivors include one daugher, Martha Whitfield, of Hayti; one son, Ricky Frankum, of Fenton, Mo.; one sister, Jean Fatchett and husband, Tommy, of Mountain Home, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jerry Paul Whitfield, of Carrollton, Miss., Stacy Whitfield, of Bragg City, Mo. and Jana Grisham, of Kennett and eight great-grandchildren, Michaela Sellers, Joe Kelley, Ava, Jonathan and Addylynn Whitfield, Michael and Annaleese Grisham and Hayley Butler.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.
Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Paul and Stacy Whitfield, Andy Grisham, Bill Blankenship, James Figley and Larry Frankum.
Honorary pallbearers were Keith Fatchett, Herbert DeWeese and Richard Ashbaugh.
