Leroy Pruett, 79, of Muskegon, Mich., died Fraiday, Jan. 9, 2004, at Lehigh Acres, Fla.
Born May 7, 1924, in Senath, Mo., son of the late Solomon Aussie and Ruth Baugus Pruett, he was Merchant Marine and was employed at Teledyne Continental Motors. He was a member of Evanston Ave. Baptist Church in Muskegon.
He married Mildred McGrew, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Pam Fansler and husband, Arvid, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters, Laverne Davenport and husband, Martin, of Senath and Jackie Gipson, of Batesville, Ark.; one brother, Jerry Pruett, of Batesville; two granddaughters, Kara and kaley Fansler; three step-grandsons, Sid, Shane and Chad Fansler and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Steven Pruett.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2003, at the Evanston Ave. Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Oberg officiating.
Burial was in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens at Muskegon.
Systema Funeral Home of Muskegon was in charge of arrangements.
