Leland Gattis, 76, of Senath, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at his residence.
Born Dec. 10, 1927, in Guntown, Miss., he was the son of Lola Davis Gattis and the late F.L. Gattis, Sr.
On July 2, 1956, in Holly Springs, Miss., he married Shirley Leadbetter, who survives.
Survivors also include his mother, Lola Gattis, of Senath; two sons, Jackie Gattis, of Kennett and Leland Gattis and wife, Debbie, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; three daughters, Rhonda Gattis and Stefanie Starnes and husband, Paul, all of Kennett and Regina Mauricio and husband, Antonio, of Senath; six brothers, Cleveland Gattis, of West Memphis, Ark., Winfred Gattis, of Colorado, Fairl Gattis, of Hornersville, Mo., Carlton Gattis, of Senath, Lonnie Gattis, of Memphis, Tenn. and Roosevelt Gattis, of Louisiana; two sisters, Imogene Vanheuser, of Washington and Jenny Middleton, of Memphis and five grandchildren, Josh, Rachel, Robert and Kendall Gattis and Tony Mauricio.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville.
Pallbearers were Clint and Josh Gattis, Jim Pender, Steve Leadbetter, Roger Howton and Joe Graves.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
