William E. "Bill" Lindsey, 81, of Campbell, Mo., died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Born June 13, 1922, in Powe, Mo., son of the late Grover Cleveland and Emma Elizabeth Banks Lindsey, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist faith.
On April 1, 1964, in Thibodaux, La., he married Marie Lucy Dugas, who survives.
Survivors also include two brothers, Sylvester Lindsey, of Campbell and Web Lindsey, of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Della Mae Edwards, of Campbell; two step-sons, Charles McDaniel, of Lakeland, La. and L.J. Jarreau, of Georgia; five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Wood officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bethany Cemetery in Campbell.
