Joe Vernon Hall, 66, of Portageville, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at William F. Bowld Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Feb. 3, 1937, in New Madrid, Mo., son of the late Walter and Daisy Mae Reynolds Hall, he was an auto mechanic.
He was married to Glenda Traughber, who survives.
Survivors also include four sons, Ricky Hall, of Dyersburg, Tenn., Steve and Henry Hall, both of Portageville and Terry Hall, of Hayti, Mo.; two daughters, Deborah Thompson and Melissa Hall-Guiterrez, both of Portageville; three brothers, Robert Hall, of Sebastian, Fla., Jimmy Hall, of White City, Fla. and Michael Hall, of Live Oak, Fla.; four sisters, Geneva Meriman, of Okeechabee, Fla. and Pat Carr, Barbara Erts and Dottie Coker, all of Florida; fiancee, Pat Ward, of Wardell, Mo. and 16 grandchildren, Misty Rae, Henry Jr., Rance, Nooner, Stevie, Ashley, Baby Terry, Derek, Hayla, Trenton, Demi, Glenda, Alexzandria, Alizabeth, Hannah and Annie Aleize.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dallas Junior Hall; one sister, Joy Carnell and two grandchildren, Ricky Joe and John Gabriel Hall.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Hayti.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Hayward Baptist Church in Portageville with the Rev. Charles Callen officiating.
Burial will follow at the Dry Bayou Cemetery in Hayti.
Pallbearers were the grandchildren.
