Ethel A. Hisaw, 89, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at the Malden Nursing Center.
Born April 17, 1914, in Broseley, Mo., daughter of the late John and Jessie Depoyster Harrelson, she was a caseworker for the Division of Family Services and a member of the D.F.S. Retirees. She was a member of the Tuesday Club in Bernie, Mo., member of the Stokelan Drive Christian Church in Malden and a member of the Young At Heart Club at the church.
On July 29, 1934, in Piggott, Ark., she married Lester Franklin Hisaw, who preceded her in death on June 16, 1953. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Marlene Freed, of Bernie; one son, John Hisaw and wife, Jemmalee, of Malden; one sister, Erma Faye Marler, of Fisk, Mo.; four grandchildren, Rodney Freed, of Martin, Tenn., Jonathan Hisaw, of Malden, Jeremy Hisaw, of Chicago, Ill. and Jon Hisaw, of St. Louis, Mo. and one great-granddaughter, Alnsley Nicloe Freed, of Martin.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Hargarve officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bernie Cemetery.
