Jerry Lee Merkley, Jr., 43, of Campbell, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at his residence.
Born Aug. 4, 1960, in Kennett, son of Jerry Lee Merkley, Sr. and Elsie Mae Umfress Kirkpatrick, he was a U.S. Army and National Guard veteran. He worked for the City of Campbell.
On Feb. 12, 1997, in Piggott, Ark., he married Shiela Denise Vierling, who survives.
Survivors also include, two sons, Brian Anthony Miller, of Waco, Texas and Joseph Lee Merkley, of Campbell; two step-sons, Joshua and Adam Scheffler, both of Campbell; his mother, Elsie Kirkpatrick, of Campbell; his father, Jerry Lee Merkley, Sr., of Indiana; one sister, Laura Hays, of Paragould, Ark. and one brother, Richard Wallace, of Campbell.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Collins officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell.
